About us

Daniel grew up in Torrance and Harbor City. After graduating high school, Daniel immediately enlisted in the Marine Corps and served four years active duty in the infantry. He was recognized for his service by two base commanders. In his final year as a Marine, Daniel served as an acting platoon sergeant while stationed at Camp Pendleton, and later at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twenty-Nine Palms, California, before his honorable discharge.

Daniel obtained his B.A. in Political Science with a focus on political theory from the University of California – Berkeley, and began his career in the legal field assisting litigation counsel to multinational oil companies and military defense contractors. He was fortunate to assist a leading San Francisco law firm in one of the largest government contracts cases in U.S. history. Daniel also assisted litigators in collaborating with the Attorney General’s Office in a Proposition 65 enforcement action.

Daniel obtained his Juris Doctor at Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California. At Chapman, Daniel clerked both summers at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office where he assisted Deputy District Attorneys with prosecuting homicide cases.

In his first few years as an attorney, Daniel appeared at hearings in a wide variety of matters on almost a daily basis in courtrooms across Southern California, and successfully argued 17 separate motions in one hearing. In the trusts and estates practice area, Daniel has administered trusts in multiple estates grossing over $2 million dollars, and administered the estate of a former Hot Wheels designer. 

Daniel’s experience spans a variety of practice areas, including personal injury, business, employment, trusts and estates, and insurance law. Daniel has fought for the rights of injured individuals with outstanding results. He has worked for some of the largest personal injury firms in California, managing hundreds of personal injury cases, including litigation cases, obtaining favorable outcomes against major corporations, government entities, and public transportation carriers. In other civil matters, he has successfully defended retail and real estate businesses.

Legal Assistant

Amanda Cano

Amanda Cano is a Legal Assistant with extensive experience in the field of education. She was born and raised in San Pedro and assists clients in all aspects of their cases, including monitoring treatment status, requesting and compiling records, managing the firm’s files and case management software, and corresponding with medical providers and insurance adjusters. She is also responsible for researching cutting edge medical technology and best practices to implement in pre-litigation, litigation, and at trial.

Ms. Cano graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Education from California State University, Long Beach, where she was a member in both Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Lambda Theta. She also has an M.A. in English from California State University, Long Beach. 

On her spare time, Ms. Cano enjoys hiking, kayaking, and playing piano.
